Cranio Sacral Therapy
Lorna Milliken has been practicing craniosacral therapy (CST) since 1996 when she discovered it could open healing avenues she wasn't able to reach through traditional massage. Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on form of bodywork that uses light touch along the spine, neck and base of the head to release tension deep within the central nervous system. This treatment supports the body in finding homeostasis, thus encouraging the body to access its natural healing abilities. CST is done fully clothed, lying on your back, on a massage table. Lorna has witnessed holistic changes on many levels in patients who've experienced CST, including relief from migraines, chronic neck and back pain, problems related to stress and tension, TMJ, fibromyalgia and other connective tissue disorders, and more. Her CST education was with Upledger Institute. She has also facilitated trainings for all levels of students over the past two decades and was invited to facilitate a month-long CST visiting-teacher program at the Esalen Institute.
